How To Check Your Email

Select your email program under your operating system for set up instructions. If your favorite mail program is not listed, please see the generic POP and IMAP server settings below.

Generic Mail Settings
  • Incoming POP3 Mail Server: pop.gwu.edu
  • Incoming IMAP server: imap.gwu.edu
  • On campus (only!) SMTP, outgoing mail, server: smtp.gwu.edu*
  • *Off Campus SMTP server: smtp.gwu.edu will not work from off campus. Please contact your ISP for their SMTP server.
