3. How do I get access to Vignette?
If your department is already using Vignette, the Content Supervisor in your area should complete the ISS Web Service Request Form and indicate the sections of the site to which you should be granted access. If your department is not currently using Vignette, please complete the ISS Web Service Request Form and someone will contact you.

4. How do I create a new page, change my navigation, or rename a channel?
If you have questions about adding new pages or changing your navigation, please have your Content Supervisor contact the business analyst assigned to your area.

5. Why is my published content not showing up immediately?
Due to server caching, your published content may take up to 4 hours to appear.

6. Why is my Feature content not appearing on the page?
General Features and Set Features pull content from the Highlight Title, Highlight Blurb and Highlight Image of the article or story they reference. Make sure these fields are filled in for your content to appear.

7. If I put a link in the Sidebar, where does the link appear?
The sidebar title.

8. Why isn't my content appearing on the site in Preview?
It is possible that your content hasn’t been channeled appropriately. Content must be channeled to appear on the site. Click on the "Channels" tab in the Item Properties window, then add the channel(s) to which the item should be associated.

9. Why does my article image look distorted?
Images are required to be a certain size. For articles, they should be 460x200 pixels; for highlights, they should be 220x120.

10. I've associated multiple releases, stories or marketing messages to one channel or rotating sidebar. Why aren't they all displaying?
Make sure you have created a content order associated to the channel. The content order should be named "__Order for [Channel Name]", and once you create it you can add all the relevant content items.

11. Can I access Vignette from home or outside the University?
Any computer on the GW network can access Vignette. If you wish to access Vignette from off campus, you must first log into the VPN at http://vpn.gwu.edu.

12. How frequently is Vignette training offered?
Vignette training will be offered through ISS Software, Education and Training on a regular basis. Please visit the MyGW Tools & Resources tab, click on “Training, Web-based – SkillPort” and then search for “Vignette”. You must be an authorized Content Supervisor or Content Contributor to attend Vignette training.
