Installing & Configuring Wireless VPN for Mac OS X

This document will walk you through configuring your Mac OS X computer for a VPN connection to GW's network. This will grant you access to resources limited to GW's network.


Before you Begin ...
... You must ...
  1. ... be connected to the internet
  2. ... have the VPN Client Downloaded for Mac OS X

Installing & Configuring Wireless VPN for Mac OS X

1. To install the VPN Client, double click the mounted drive called GWirless Mac OS X VPN on your desktop.

2. Here, double click the Cisco VPN Client.mpkg icon to install. Follow the installer's directions to complete the installation process. This will install the VPN Client in your Applications folder.

Double click the Cisco VPN Client.mpkg con to install

3. Go to your Applications folder, find and double click the VPN Client icon to start the VPN Client. From the main screen, click Import.

Click Import

4. From the Select connection entry to import window, click on GWirless Mac OS X VPN > Profiles > GWireless.pcf > Open.

Locate the GWVPN.pcf file on the mounted drive, GWirless Mac OS X VPN

Next, you will see a window telling that the profile has been successfully imported. Click OK to close this window and return to the main VPN Client window. You will see GW's VPN imported settings.

Successful Import, click OK to close

5. In most cases, you will need to restart your computer. To do this, click on the blue Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and select Restart .... Once your computer has been restarted, start the VPN Client as described in Step 3 above.

6. Click the Connect button, and when prompted, enter your GWMail username and password to connect.

Click Connect and Login with your GWMail username and password
