To ensure proper installation of all Symantec software on your computer, please follow these 2 steps:

STEP 1:

This step is critical! Remove any Anti-Virus software that you have installed on your computer, including any previous versions of Norton or Symantec software, otherwise you risk damaging your computer by installing Norton Anti-Virus over another Anti-Virus client.

If you need assistance uninstalling your current anti-virus software, please contact your LSP or the ISS Help Desk at (202) 994-5530, and we'll gladly assist you.

STEP 2:

Read and agree to the following License Agreement:

GW Students: Notwithstanding any provision in the Preferred Value Certificate and the End User License Agreement to the contrary, Licensee may allow registered students to use a copy of the Software on their personal computers at no additional charge to Licensee. Licensee will assume responsibility for student's agreement to use the Software under the terms and conditions of the Symantec in-box license agreement and for limiting availability of the Software to registered students only. In addition, Licensee will use reasonable efforts to see that students who are no longer registered students agree to remove the copy of the Software from their personal computers. The number of copies made for student usage shall not exceed the total number of copies licensed. Such additional copies will not increase the total number of copies licensed by Licensee under the Preferred Value Certificate Number referenced above.

Other members of the GW community: You are allowed to use Norton Anti-Virus, on your work and home computers while you are affiliated with GW. You are required by law to remove this program once you are no longer affiliated with GW.

I understand that the George Washington University (GW) is the Licensee of Symantec Anti-Virus and Symantec Client Security from Symantec. And that I will uninstall any NAV product I obtain from GW from all of my computers when I am no longer affiliated with or enrolled at GW.

I have read, I understand and I agree to abide by the above License Agreement. Please take me to the NAV login page.

I do not agree to the above License Agreement. Please take me to the main Help Desk page.
