Norton Anti-Virus: Running LiveUpdate Manually and Automatically For Windows®
The Norton AntiVirus LiveUpdate feature is quite user friendly. It is designed to automatically use your existing internet connection to download virus definitions from Symantec's server. LiveUpdate may either be run manually or configured to run automatically at defined intervals. NOTE: We recommend you run LiveUpdate Daily or when a new virus is found. | ||||||

Configuring LiveUpdate To Run Automatically
|
|
1. Open NAV as you would normally or as shown in Step 1 above. 2. Choose Schedule Updates from the File menu found in the main NAV window.
3. Place a check in the enable scheduled automatic updates box and click the Schedule button.
4. Define the frequency for LiveUpdate to auto-update and click OK to finish. We highly recommend you set this to Daily and at a time your computer is on the internet. In this window, I have chosen to update NAV daily at 8:15 AM.
LiveUpdate will check for virus definitions Daily (recommended setting). |
